The Siding Products We Install — and Why We Trust Them

We don't install everything under the sun. Over years of working on homes from Seattle to Snohomish, we've settled on a short list of products we genuinely trust to hold up in our climate. Here's what we put on homes — and why.
James Hardie fiber cement
Our go-to for moisture resistance and longevity. The factory-applied ColorPlus finish means fewer repaints and a finish that resists fading through years of Pacific Northwest sun and rain. It's the product we reach for most on exposed lots in Bellevue, Kirkland, and along the water in Mukilteo and Edmonds.
LP SmartSide engineered wood
When a homeowner wants a warm, authentic wood look or needs to balance the budget, LP SmartSide delivers. Its treated wood strands resist rot and pests, and the longer panel lengths mean fewer seams on large walls — a real advantage on the bigger homes we see in Sammamish and Redmond.
Cedar and natural wood
For historic and character homes — think the older neighborhoods of Snohomish or Seattle — natural cedar still has a place. It demands more maintenance, but nothing else quite matches its look. When a homeowner wants it done right, we do it right.
What goes behind the siding matters just as much
The siding you see is only part of the wall system. We plan the water-resistive barrier, flashing at windows and penetrations, and drainage or ventilation details appropriate to the assembly. These details support drying and durability, but no single detail establishes a fixed service life.
